Guest blogger David Barclay is chief operating officer at CRSP, a research center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He helped position CRSP, founded nearly 60 years ago to provide research-quality market and index data, as an index innovator with the 2012 introduction of CRSP's investable indexes. Before joining CRSP in 1998, Mr. Barclay was an executive vice president at Heitman Financial Ltd. He previously served in executive positions at Harris Bank, now known as BMO Harris Bank, N.A., and the Northern Trust Corporation. Mr. Barclay earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. from Stanford University.
